Ho chi Minh City formerly named Saigon is the Largest city of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh city has 7,981,900 million population. Ive been staying here for almost 3 years but just recently i had a chance to explore the city. But my friends came over for a short stay so I had a chance to roam them around.
So here are some famous places that you should visit when you want to explore Ho Chi Minh City.
- Notre Dame Cathedral
If you want to see a beautiful scenery that you must visit this famous cathedral it is located in Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
2. Mekong Delta Whole Day Trip
I wasn’t expecting much actually when I booked this trip. Even though I am staying here for almost 3 years now, its just recently that i decided to go for this trip. Well, this trip really amazed me though. Its like a time machine where we are catered and thrownback to the life of vietnamese people before. We were able to meet some minorities which really melts my heart to see them striving just to live everyday. So, yeah, sorry for the drama. I suggest you’ll book in The Sinh Tourist. they really have a good service and very accomodating staffs.
3. War Remnants Museum
This Museum houses the remnants of the war in Vietnam decades of years ago. The War Remnants Museum located at 28 Vo Van Tan, in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. This museum have several buildings, military equipment and many more.
5. Cu Chi Tunnel Half Day Tour
So, Because my Friends and I had “Time Issues”( we need to maximize our time) we choose to book a half day tour instead of booking a one whole day. So yea, Cu Chi Tunnel is one of the most visited tourist attraction here in Ho Chi Minh. At first I was hesitated to go with them because i thought the only thing to do is to crawl down to that very small and creepy tunnel ( sorry for the word xd) but i was wrong. They have so much activity to offer such as museum and huts where Viet Cong’s hid during the Vietnam war. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters.
Cu Chi Tunnel is located in the Củ Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam
So, these are my short itinerary for you guys, hope it can help you in case you’ll visit Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I’ll be posting soon about Local foods here in Saigon. Thank you. Hope to see you soon! XD
